Hoan Kiem Lake Walking Loop

The layout of Hanoi makes for a very pleasant days walk. A loop around Hoan Kiem Lake passes many of the main attractions of central Hanoi such as the Opera House, Water Puppets, St. Joseph’s Cathedral, the old markets area and the Metropole hotel.

Start anywhere on the loop - I find that starting at the coffee shop at the south-west corner of the lake and finishing up at the Metropole Hotel for a cleansing ale makes for a very satisfying days outing.

The map file its self can be downloaded in kml format here. Double-clicking on the downloaded file should automatically display the walking loop in Google Earth.
