October 1st is China’s National Day, celebrated in the evening with fireworks over the harbour. OK, so in Hong Kong any excuse for a light show or fireworks is a good one. However the roof of the Harbour Grand hotel is a great vantage point. Rarely does one get to photograph from above the height of the fireworks.

Note that the rooftop of the Harbour Grand Hotel is not open for general public access. It is sometimes open for special ticketed events like National Day.
