Lots of formatting changes under the covers

by Kip Cole on Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at 05:47 UTC

There have been substantial changes to the underlying code that formats the pages on this site. The changes will make it a lot easier to improve or create alternative designs.

However there are likely to be some undiscovered issues, especially with Internet Explorer. Many of the changes are to leverage the power of CSS cascading (if you don’t know what that means, then it really doesn’t matter). It’s one of the reasons you can’t access this site with Internet Explorer 6 or below. Those browsers simply have too many issues that require too much effort to work around.

If you spot an issue, then please feel free to send me a message.
